Adventures of an Aussie who wants an IPad

Updated on July 14, 2013

Jeremy Clarkson reviewing the Range Rover

" What this means is that everywhere you look there's polished walnut and thick carpet. The rear seats are split by a wooden console holding crystal tumblers in plush cupboards and a champagne fridge with room for two bottles, while the leather in our test car was olive and aubergine trim. Essentially, it feels like driving around in two-and-a-half tons of antique furniture. "

Such is life Apple Computers just announced to the world that due to overwhelming demand there will be a delay of around a month for the launch of the Apple Ipad into Australia.

Shucks , Goddamn it just when I'd put a poster on the wall with 11 sleeps to go until i get to caress the IPad my dreams and aspirations have been dashed. I mean I could not wait to starting fingering the shiny screen with my digital. Already I had put my large felt pen through two of the days and yes there was only 9 sleeps to go.

Instead I will have to come up with other things to do with my so so valuable time. Like Study?. Nah cant do that don't want to blow any more fuses in those valuable synapses. Maybe i could watch more reruns of 'Top Gear' Yes that's it I just love listening to Jeremy Clarkson bag a 400,000 pound Aston Martin saying they are completely crap. And then he gets his little sidekicks such as Mike Hammond to test drive a Mini on tank of petrol to see if it will reach Brighton before dinner. You know the sort of thing. Or instead I could approach that girl ive being eying off for weeks to see if she wants to go to the flicks and see a movie like "Dear John". Nah let me just invite her to dinner and put the hard word on her straight up. Better still why don't I take that long anticipated trip to Frazer Island we are told by Environment Minister Penny Wong & her Associates that coastal degradation will mean that Island such as Frazer will be inundated with water before too long.

Frazer Island Queensland Australia

Fraser Island stretches over 123 kilometres in length and 22 kilometres at its widest point. With an area of 184 000 hectares it is the largest sand island in the world.

Fraser Island's World Heritage listing ranks it with Australia's Uluru, Kakadu and the Great Barrier Reef. Fraser Island is a precious part of Australia's natural and cultural heritage, it is protected for all to appreciate and enjoy.

Fraser island is a place of exceptional beauty, with its long uninterrupted white beaches flanked by strikingly coloured sand cliffs,

Then again I could venture onto a quck flight to Bali & bask in the sunshine at a new resort.

The latest is AYANA Resort and Spa, which used to be the Ritz-Carlton Bali, Resort and Spa in Jimbaran.

It's been given a multi-million dollar makeover, now employs 1000 staff with butlers certified by the Guild of Professional Butlers and has become particularly well known for its new Rock Bar - a must-visit for anybody in the know.

Sipping cocktails as the sun melts into the Indian Ocean right in front of you and small jukung boats head out on fishing trips is pretty close to bliss
