Best Cell Phones 2011 - Top 5 New Mobile Phones 2011

Updated on July 9, 2011

If one hundred years ago was the agricultural revolution, then today we have the technological revolution (alright we had one of those a few decades ago, but either this is a new one, or it's still continuing on). But you can't deny the fact that month by month new technology is being released, some of it better, some of it innovative, some of it pretty much exactly the same.

One of the leaders in this technological revolution is cell phone and mobile phone technology. It seems every day, new cell phones, with new features, are either being announced or being released. The same is no different for the year 2011, with countless new cell phones already being announced (and I'm sure many more are still to come).

And with a new year, and new products, come the same old questions. What new phones are coming out? What's the top rated cell phone of 2011? What are the hottest cell phones of 2011, or what are going to be the hottest selling mobile phones 2011? The best cell phones 2011 are bound to be different than the previous year - and this is a good thing.

With that in mind let's take a look at the cool new phones coming out this year; the top 5 list of mobile phones 2011 will be a mix of the top rated, the most anticipated, and the one with the best features.

Nexus S Mobile Phone

The Samsung Nexus S is one of the newest phones of 2011 and is bound to be one of the best cell phones of this new year. It runs on android smartphone technology - which is the biggest competitor to the iPhone - making it an excellent product; and this before it has any features.

The 4-inch display is breathtakingly clear, with a 5 mega-pixel camera that has HD clarity. With the ability to create a mobile hot-spot (the newest feature of android phones) this is one of the best rated cell phones 2011.

Verizon iPhone, iPhone 5

Dubbed with two disctinct names you can call this phone either the Verizon iPhone (the carrier who's supporting it) or the iPhone 5. In all honesty this new cool cell phone of 2011 won't be much different than the iPhone 4; it will, though, have a few new features.

  • FaceTime on 4G
  • Thinner
  • Custom Email Alerts
  • More battery life
  • Sync wireless with iTunes (my favorite).

All in all this new iPhone will be one of the top cell phones 2011.

Samsung Galaxy S

Although released in late 2010, the Samsung Galaxy S is set to be one of the bestselling mobile phones of 2011, and is already considered one of the top rated phones 2011. This is a good thing - it's good to a phone thats already established in the market, with its features, apps, and price.

What makes this new cell phone, the Samsung galaxy S, so good?

It has a 4.0 inch screen that, mixed with Gorilla glass display, is scratch proof and very, very clear. With a multi-touch input method ( a mix of both touch screen and buttons) and you have a phone that is easy to use. With a large battery life, and an app store that can fill all your needs, you have one of the best cell phones 2011.

Facebook Cell Phone

It was the inevitable: a Facebook branded cell phone. I mean, are we really complaining? The company is already estimated at 50 billion, so we know they have the resources. This could be, then, one of the best cell phones of all time, not just one of the best phones of 2011. It's exciting.

They'll be partnered with HTC, one of the leaders in cell phone technology, so that right there is a plus. Will the phone be good? Yes. Will it be one of the coolest cell phones? Probably.

Windows 7 Cell Phone

Windows 7 cell phones cover a wide range of cell phones, and therefore you can't classify one single phone as being the best mobile device of 2011. You can, however, list the phones that are some of the best windows 7 phones and therefore some of the 2011 phones to look out for.

  • HTC HD7
  • LG Optimus 7
  • HTC HD2
  • Samsung Omnia 2
