Best Photo Printer 2016

Updated on November 22, 2015

Picking the right printer can be a tricky choice. There are quite a few different types of printer technologies to select from, each suited for different users. The many specifications for speed and resolution can be confusing. As a general rule, laser printers are best at quickly printing text documents, while inkjet printers are a good at printing high quality photos.

When buying a photo printer the brands to look for are: HP, Canon, Epson, Xerox and Lexmark.

In best photo printer 2016 I will look both at a straight forward photo printer as well as some all-in-one photo printers, with all the bells and whistles. The printers reviewed here all print photos to a high enough quality that you cannot discern between their printouts and a traditionally developed photo.

HP Photosmart C410a

HP Photosmart Premium Fax e All-in-One allows for professional printing and scanning. This printer can use wire and wireless networking. The sleek design is multi functional allowing for printing and scanning photo’s, coupons, recipes and documents. With the Photosmart you can print wirelessly from your smart phone. The best thing about this printer is probably the lab-quality photo’s that it prints.

Photo editing is available with the included software. This comes with 5 individual ink cartridges allowing for extensive printing. You can also send emails, photos and documents. The customer support is very good, although it has taken some users time to get it set up and working nicely.

The specifics are; revolution up to 4800-dpi optical; maximum scan size 8.5" x 11" scanner. The printer prints 34 pages a minute, in black and white and 32 in color. The packaging makes a good impression, as does the additional pack of HP paper, however it does not come with a USB cord for device connection, so one will be needed separately.

The e-print does not handle mms messages which means that the wireless use does not extend to picture messages, it works preferably with e-mail however. What is quite handy is that it does instantly print spreadsheets documents and other file types, rather efficiently. You can check on the printing progres remotely by computer or smart phone.

Thanks for your hub. I will recall these when I need to get a new photo printer. What's best to reproduce old photos as I plan on doing this.
