What Is Samsung Captivate Smartphone?

The latest line of Samsung cell phones is this series of Galaxy S smart phones. Four models of the smartphone were developed, each with different carriers. Samsung Captivate phone is in conjunction with AT&T. Each has 1 ghz Hummingbird processors and AMOLED touchscreens.

The Samsung Captivate is super thin, less than a half inch. It is actually the thinnest Android smartphone. It weighs just over 4 ounces. It has a USB port with a sliding door. Included is a SIM card slot. The battery compartment is in the back. On top are the audio jack, volume, and power on/off. It is very aesthetically pleasing and sleek with its slightly curved design.

The high contrast 4 inch Super AMOLED touchscreen make watching videos and playing games way more enjoyable. Plus, it's easier to view in bright sun.

Included is TouchWIZ. This allows 7 different home screens. You can add folders, widgets, and shortcuts on each of these customizable screens. Even set up your email with an icon shortcut on a screen. Instantly access your email account whenever you wish.

Have easy access to many popular Google services, including Google Talk instant messaging and other IM services, Google search with voice, Google Calendar, Google Navigate, Google Maps, even YouTube. Below is more information about the Android smartphone features and Samsung Captivate specs:

Samsung Captivate phone cons:

  • No flash on the camera

All in all, Samsung Captivate Android phone by AT&T is definitely one of the best smartphones out there. Maybe not an iPhone killer for everyone, but I prefer it.
