Canon EOS Digital Rebel T1I 500D SLR Camera

Canon have long been leaders in the Digital SLR camera field, and their current greatest offering is no exception. The Canon Rebel T1i is a hugely successful DSLR camera which has some of the best capability for new and experienced Digital SLR users alike.

The Rebel T1i is infact a carbon copy of the european Canon EOS 500D, which is no bad thing when you consider the impressive specifications of this DSLR. one of the best things i have seen in this great digital SLR camera is great for new users as well as more seasoned DSLR users. While it has all the indepth manual functions of a good quality Digital SLR, the Canon Rebel T1i also has some of the fastest and most intuative auto focus options that you will see on a mid range DSLR cameras.

The Canon EOS Rebel T1i may be a mid-range digital slr, but the Rebel T1i specifications are impressive to say the least.  The Canon EOS Rebel T1i Is more than just a Digital SLR, it has all the advanced SLR functions, but also great auto focus, not to mention HD video recording!

Since the video recording is not the primary focus of DSLR cameras, I will cover this first.  The Canon Rebel T1i has full HD video recording capability, and can record HD video at 20fps.  It is worth noting though, that the T1i can record at 30fps, if you choose a lower resolution. The Canon T1i also comes with HDMI output, so you can link your HD movies up to your HDTV!

The Rebel T1i has a 15.1 megapixel sensor with the new DIGIC 4 Image Processor to ensure clearer clarity of images. 

The Rebel T1i unit itself is well made, with a 3 inch clear view LCD screen. It weighs 8 x 12 x 7 and weighs 1.6 pounds.  This is slightly heavy, but it is not unweildy, and it is a good size to fit snugly in to your two hands, while still allowing you to reach the functions you need.

The Rebel T1i has all kinds of functions to make a photographers life easier, including an auto lighting optimizer, and a wide ISO range of 100 to 3200.  As well as the more complicated settings you also get some of the more simple camera options, including metering, self timer, flash exposure compensation and the ability to shoot pictures continuously at a rate of 3.4 shots a second.

The Canon Rebel T1i is a great camera for beginners and pros alike.  While true professionals may eventually buy a better DSLR camera, these could cost up to $5000 more than the mid range DSLRs such as the Rebel T1i.

Whatever the level of photographer you are, the Canon Rebel T1i DSLR is a great digital SLR camera.  It will take high quality photos and video, without compromising on its professional attributes.

While the Rebel T1i does have all the complex functions of a professional DSLR, it also has some great functions to increase simplicity, especially with its autofocus function for beginners.
