Manage Multiple Twitter Accounts With the Same Email Address

Do you have more than one Twitter account? People are promoting themselves, their business, and things they like on Twitter and often using multiple accounts to do so. At times, it's easier to keep them completely separated by having multiple email addresses but maybe you don't want multiple email addresses...
If you're not using Gmail yet, you should be. Having an email address with Google allows you access to all of their web apps which make your life easier. Another plus of having gmail is the versatility of your using your email address. When you sign up for things using your email address you can tweak it.

For example, your email address is JohnDoe@gmail.com
When you submit this to a website, it can appear as John.Doe@gmail.com (having a period anywhere) or JohnDoe+spam@gmail.com (using a plus sign and more letters).

(Using this method can also help filter emails. Like using the "+spam" suffix.)

How does this help with Twitter?
When you sign up for Twitter, you can enter your same gmail address but just put a period somewhere and Twitter sees it as a different email address. This way all the notifications still come to the same inbox.
