WD TV Live Plus HD Media Player is now available with a Netflix widget, allowing Netflix members to stream TV episodes and movies from the Netflix library directly to an HDTV. The WD TV Live Plus Media Player also ships with Pandora, Live 365, YouTube and MediaFly access.

The WD TV Live Plus Media Player is one of a growing number of entertainment devices that provides internet and home network access to you HDTV. It has a compact design, allowing the unit to be discretely added to any home theatre set up. It also means that it’s relatively portable.

Connect a WD passport mass storage device containing your media library to one of the USB ports, plug your WD TV Live Plus into any HDTV and you have access to your media library, as you travel. It also supports multiple power sources 100-240 VAC and AC Input 50-60 Hz for international travel.

The WD TV Live Plus HD Media Player has an HDMI, composite video, and component output for connecting to your HDTV, and outputs at 1080p resolution. It also has an Ethernet port for wired connectivity connectivity to the internet and home computer networks.

Streaming TV and movies from Netflix requires internet connectivity. For the best performance broadband speeds should be at the upper end of internet speed offerings. The WD TV Live Plus HD Media Player can also access home computer networks, allowing access to movies, photos, and music on any network connected PC.

Windows 7 PC’s can stream movies over their home network (set up using HomeGroups) to the WD TV Live Plus HD Media Play for playback on an HDTV, using the Play To function in Windows Media Player.

The WD Live TV Plus supports many Video and audio formats, consolidating diverse sources of digital audio and video files into one clean interface. iTunes formats, however, are currently not supported.       Rob, I agree. I actually purchased the subsequent model that includes 1 tb of storage and have had no issue playing any file format.

      This WD model is very popular and with good reason. It's a great media player that will play pretty much anything. With the custom firmware mod it is even better!
