    Is it possible to simulate being in the US on google?

    as I want to see where my hubs come out in terms of ranking and position if I was there.

    Google tools will detect your IP and compare with fresh data bases to know where you are, so even if you clean cookies, change browser, change SO language, it wont work, you need to use a secure proxy.

    1) http://www.kproxy.com is a web proxy easy to use, but be careful not to click your own pub.
    .
    2) If you have a Friend is usa, you can make a remote desktop and navigate with his browser.
    .
    3) If you rent a dedicated server in Usa that let you make a remote conexion, then you will be able to navigate like if you were there

    If you use Firefox or Chrome, there's a plugin called Google Global which allows you to simulate search results as if they came from another country (including the US).

    You will want to turn off Google's "Instant search" when you use it.

    Also ensure you're signed out of any Google services (Gmail, Analytics, Adwords, Adsense, etc.) if you want more standard results. Otherwise, Google might customize the results based on what you have in your account details.

    As pol1ce mentioned, buying a proxy service that is US based is one way (if you need it often and reliably). You could also just search for free an open proxies (this can get a bit messy).

    But one sure fire way (which can be used for multiple things), is sign up for a free account at http://www.gopc.net/

    They give you a free limited virtual machine running a Linux Operating System. You can browse the Internet from this virtual machine. The virtual machine is based in the US - so there you go smile

    I'm pretty sure you are looking at the US results when you go to Google.com

    You can look at other countries by different extensions ie
    www.google.co.jp for japan
    www.google.ca for canada
    www.google.fr for france
