I am not a fan of the Windows Operating System but I have to admit Windows 7 is a pretty decent release. It seems fairly stable and works better than other recent releases.
Following such a release with such a drastic change in the interface seems like a big gamble for Microsoft. I doubt many people will be in a hurry to rush out and purchase Windows 8. People may warm up to it after awhile, but I can see it being shunned much as Vista was when it was released.
Costs always come down in the long run with computers. It just depends on how long you want to wait before buying.
