How Can You Save Data?
If you have internet or a smart phone or similar devices and your plan is based upon your use of data, what are some ways to use your devices strategically to get the most out of a data usage based plan?
The best bet is to use WIfi which is not difficult to set up. Then on ATT, you still must pay for minimum data. To decrease use of data, you can keep your phone or Internet off as needed, have it turn off every five minutes, get rid of apps you do not need to use, download music and pics, use efficient browser, find Wifi hotspots, keep track of data usage, and perform large downloads on Wifi, beware of ads, get out of ad videos quickly, get tips from experts or the Internet and apply them.
I save mine on a flash drive and then make a second one as a back up. Some people use the "cloud", but I would not want all of my personal info sitting online.

Can an iPhone just be used as an iPod?I'll be traveling to another country where I won't be able to use my phone, which is fine. But I'd like to be able to use my phone as an iPod. Airplane mode turns off the wifi, so I don't want to use that, but I don't want roaming charges. Any suggestions?
