   Outlook PST not opening
   
   Hi;
   
   When I attempt to open outlook I get an error:
   Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. The set of folders cannot be opened. Errors have been detected in the file C:\Documents and Settings\Sabrina\local settings\application data\Microsoft\outlook \outlook.pst. Quit outlook and all mail-enabled applications and the use the inbox repair tool (scanst.exe) to diagnose and repair errors in the file for more information about the inbox repair tool see help.
   
   I have attempted to repair the .pst file using scanpst but it fails. Do you know another utility preferably

   Hello,
   
   There are only 2 ways to repair the PST files:
   First with inbox repair tool (scanst.exe), but as you mentioned here, it’s not working to repair your corrupted PST files. The second option is to repair with any third party PST repair software. You can go for the Sysinfotools PST files recovery tools.

   usually with the scanpst.exe you can fix errors with the PST file.What's the size of it? What programs are running while you are trying to open it?
   Or

   If your Outlook PST file is not responding, That means it is corrupted due to hardware and software failure.
   
   First you should use Scanpst.exe tool to recover PST file but if you have used and not get success then there are so many third party tool available on line.

   Option 1: Go to the home page and right-click "Archives" on the left panel. Select "Open File Location" and you can locate the Outlook data file.
