Blogging in the House of Sylvestermouse

Several years back, blogging was a new venture for me. With the help of a few friends, I set up 3 different blogs back then and they are still going strong today. I would love to introduce you to them!

As a matter of fact, I would love for each of you to visit my blogs and share your thoughts and opinions in the comments boxes. It is always nice to have friends stop by for a little visit and chat.

I love "playing" with food and I have discovered that I am not alone!

This blog features not only my own fun food, but also fun food articles by other online writers.

As I visit other articles online, when I come across a great fun food article where the writer gives great instructions for creating your own original work of food art, I feature it on my Fun Food blog featured and linked below.

I have been crafting my entire life, so it only makes sense that I would choose crafts to write and blog about.

I also run an Ebay store, House of Sylvestermouse, which features hundreds of craft books, kits and patterns.

Currently, this site, Crafting with Sylvestermouse is set to feature my favorite craft kits and relating online articles. It is my intent and desire to build this site to include other crafting ideas in the future.

Animals Featured by Sylvestermouse was actually my first blog, therefore, it is my oldest blog.

It will not surprise you that it is all about animals. This blog features some of my favorite animals and is written in conjunction with related articles.

The content and information in each lens and blog entry is different since they are meant to compliment each other.

Everybody loves Christmas and this blog, Christmas Crafts in the House of Sylvestermouse, will be all about Christmas Crafts!

Again, it will feature Christmas crafts and published articles that are relative to the featured craft.

As I write these blogs, I do include additional tips and recommendations for making the featured craft.

I have realized that keeping up with all of the different passwords for all of my online ventures, can be quite a mental challenge. I have taken the easy route and purchased a journal to keep my passwords and websites noted. I will tell you though, I only write down the first and last letter of each password so it can sometimes still be a bit like a crossword puzzle. I have heard brain teasers and games are good for our brain health, so I am really helping myself in more than one way.

One of the best things about writing online is the willingness of other writers to reach out and help. Two very special online entrepreneurs helped me set up my new blogs. Their constant support and encouragement is what keeps me going daily :)

Holley, aka 24websurf, started working with me originally on the Animals blog. I am sure she grew weary of the endless questions and lack of knowledge on my part, but she hung in there and I am very proud of the results of our work together. She also jumped on board the minute I mentioned the Crafting blogs.

Susan, aka Buckhawk, was actually the mastermind behind the two craft blogs. She suggested them, recommended the hosting blog sites, helped me set them up and spent a few hours for several days in a row giving me additional instruction and suggestions.

I truly appreciate their help, support, encouragement and willingness to share their knowledge and wisdom. Words of thanks are simply not enough to show my appreciation for these two sweethearts.

I have no doubt that sticking to a schedule will be the most challenging part of blogging for me. While I live by schedules & calendars, and prefer having a plan of action, I can not always make myself create or write. I suspect I will need to write when inspiration strikes and schedule my new entries so they will be dependable and consistent for my followers and readers.

Here we are nearly 4 years down the road! It is hard to believe that it has been that long and that so much has happened since I first set up the original blogs.

As I commented earlier, 2 of my blogs were originally set up on Posterous, which went out of business. One of those blogs was moved to Blogger and the other was set up on it's own website.
