I am having on again off again problems posting to FaceBook. i can't rely on the button to work. Anyone else having this problem?
I just tested the Facebook like button on a Hub and was successful in posting a Hub to my account.
@breakfastpop
We have advised you previously that the version of OS X you have is no longer supported by Apple and they are no longer updating Safari for your system.
I strongly recommend that you try a browser that is maintained and supported. Good choices are Firefox and Chrome.
Matthew, with all due respect my problems are also common to people who use firefox and chrome.
So you are saying you tried both browsers and are having the same issue?
Nio, Matthew, I didn't but all the other problems were experienced by people using both other browsers. The FaceBook button is intermittent in nature, just like the photo upload and the posting issue. Not everyone having this issue uses Safari.
Perhaps you could try the suggested fix, before you tell me it doesn't address the issue.
Matthew, have you noticed that some people said the button never worked for them?
Statements that the button never works are inaccurate.
I tested the button earlier today and it did work.
Please try Firefox and/or Chrome.
Matthew, I am not arguing with you. When I posed the question I said the issue was intermittent. All of the other issues were the same. My problems had nothing to do with Safari as you suggested, since others had the same problems and used your suggested alternatives. I think it is very strange that we are experiencing so many issues lately. Jut for the record, my hub posted to FaceBook yesterday, but not today. Don't worry though, I won't be bothering you for help in the future.
Troubleshooting works by determining possible problems and eliminating them to determine the underlying cause.
Other users seeing intermittent issues with other browsers, that does not mean that the old version of Safari you are using is not part of the issues you are experiencing. I have not recently seen any reports from Firefox users about the issue, for example. @habee reported having problems, but she is not using Chrome nor Firefox, but Internet Explorer 8 (Microsoft has since released internet Explorer 9 and 10)
The first step for you would be to eliminate an old version of Safari as the possibility. The more whittled down and reproducible the situation, the more likely it can be addressed so it does not occur again.
A few times I the FB button has not worked for me. Some times it is missing from a post, but then this has been rare so far this year.
I've never used the button, I always just copied and pasted the link to my facebook.
I will go to my page and write a sentence or two about my hub and give the link. That works for me since I go there every day anyway

I have been experiencing problems trying to post comments. When I finish writing the comment it doesn't post and the screen returns to the top of the hub. Anyone in my boat?

Just noticed that the facebook like button is not showing in Firefox, although it shows up fine in Chrome when I looked.

Very weird, but for the last few days the option to go back a page no longer works if I am currently on a forum and trying to leave it to return to a non-forum page I visited previously. In fact the best I seem to be able to achieve is to go back to the first page I entered the forum on, but not to...

Is anyone having a problem posting a link to their hub on facebook?I use facebook to promote my hubs. I have joined facebook groups that relate to the topics of my hubs and then I post the related hubs there--just one per page every few days. I think I am having a problem related to hubpages even...

I've left two long winded comments in the past few minutes and neither of them posted. Once I hit Post Comment, it just took me back to the top of the hub after it acted like it was working. Anyone else?
