I would argue that it is very beneficial, for a few reasons:
1) One of China's versions of twitter helped block government censorship: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/07/29/world … l&_r=0
2) I think it brings out the best of humanity. When there is a tragedy or tough situation, twitter usually gives love and awareness for any victims.
3) In the long term I think it promotes a darwinism of opinions. When people give quality opinions they are retweeted and spread. Senseless opinions can be satirically destroyed.
Any thoughts?
Twitter is only good for two things: snappy one-liners and project status updates.
I think Twitter can be a very beneficial. It is certainly a good promotional tool when used correctly.

"The best thing to do is not form your own opinion and just agree with everyone else's."I've found in my life that opinions cause problems. They usually end up having people agree with you(which is great), but they also have people disagree with you. A disagreement can make someone think...
