Let's Talk About the Cloud

Recent reports of people being locked out of their Google Docs files for violating "terms of service" should be a wake-up call to everyone.  The Google "Big Brother" AI scans everything on the entire Google platform to harvest trend data to sell to advertisers; thus making Google a boatload of cash.  If your data is stored on someone else's servers, then who really owns it?  If you can be "locked out" of something you alone created, it would seem that the owner of the server holds the upper hand.  I'd like to hear opinions, stories, or any other cloud-related subjects in this thread.
