How to build your own external hard drive enclosures?
The easiest way (and some might say "cheater's way") to do it would be to get a USB to IDE adapter and then just use anything for the housing - you could use a box made out of wood, cardboard, plastic, etc. and voila, you have an external USB hard drive.
