How do you change your IP address for free?

I see that you have some hubs about the Opera browser. Is there a way to change my IP address from this browser for free? My internet is powered by a modem, if that takes any effect. Thanks!

This depends on which IP address it is. If you are talking about your internet IP address then it really depends on your ISP. If they have given you a static IP address, then you're stuck and may have to phone them. If you have been allocated a dynamic IP, then sometimes you have the option within the router to release and renew the IP address. Sometimes simply rebooting your router can allocate you a new IP address.

It really depend on the purpose to change your IP address.

HotspotShield is free, but does not work with media site.

The most effective way to change your IP address is to use a VPN service that routes your internet traffic through another server (often located in a different country than your own).  This provides a secure connection that protects you from your government spying on your internet activity.

Usually people want to change their IP address to bypass geographical restrictions to watch internet media from providers like BBC (iPlayer), ABC, CBS, FOX, Hulu or Netflix.

I am using a VPN service http://www.VPNTelevision.com to access US and UK media from anywhere I travel in the world.

The definition personal may be used in the case of IPs that vary from 192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.255 plus they were moved to presence as a result of deficiency in connection with the accessibility to excess IPv4 addresses. Precisely why these kinds of IPs are classified as personal is because are nonroutable if there is no NAT and it is usually unachievable to discover a person's instrument away from the 'network ' it's always positioned in. 192.168.1.1 ip is really a personal Ip employed by lots of high speed broadband wireless router brands as the default Ip address inside their piece of equipment.

If you have dynamic IP address then you can change it by:
    1) Clear all cookies and cache file from your browser.
    2)Go into command prompt ,type in "ipconfig/release" , then "ipconfig/renew" .
To goto command prompt Start->Run->type "Cmd" and Enter .
3)Either follow step 2 or Simply restart your modem/router .
Doing either step 2 or 3 will change your ip address,if you have dynamic Ip address.Visit http://www.ip-details.com/ to check if your IP address is changed or not. If you have Static Ip address then contact your ISP and request a ip change.
