Memory is basically two types which is used in computer
1) Internal memory like RAM
2) External memory like Hard disk
Memory is the important component of computer it is an electronic scratch pad inside the computer.It is a storage unit to hold the data.Memory can be broadly divided into 2 types
Primary memory is also called as main memory it is the fastest memory and it stores the data temporarily again it is classified into RAM and ROM.
Secondary memory is also called as auxiliary memory.These are used for long-term storage purposes.Auxiliary devices are much larger in capacity than main memory.Magnetic disks,tapes,floppy disk are the examples of Secondary storage devices.
There are two types of memory in pc. Hard disk or RAM. Hard disk is used to store data permanently and RAM is used to store data for some time period when the programs running into your pc.
