    Windows cannot read from this disk. The disk might be corrupted, or it could be using a format...

    My computer is running on Windows XP, and Service Pac
    2. Now I have problem with my CD-ROM it doesn't work and only showed the message "Windows cannot read from this disk. It might be corrupted, or it could be using a format not compatible with windows." I try to reinstall window but I have the same problem. I try to find the solution over the internet, and nothing I have. Any suggestions? Please Help

    sounds like a driver issue. type in the model number of the cd player in google, download the driver, and reinstall. see what happens.

    I think your CD is damaged Room. Room CD is hardware is automatically detected by windows (auto detect). So you do not need to install any drivers when installing Room CD / CD-RW / DVD Combo / DVD-RW.

    If your Room CD is not detected / does not work, that means there is damage to your Room CD, so windows does not recognize the CD Room.
