The answers people give you here shall interest me, as I am too beginning a blog but have no way of trafficing it to people. If I was you, I would read a dummies book on the subject to understand about it better. That is, if you are a beginner, like myself.
You sure do! To access your blog, outsiders can just simply type:
http://hubpages.com/profile/paul+rawlings
Now, start hubbing so they won't see an empty blog. : ) Welcome to HP!
This is not really a blog, but your Hubpages account, which is a bit different from a blog.
Here you will need to write some articles(hubs) and people will visit them through various sources including search engines.

If you mean 'is your profile a blog' I would say 'no' HubPages is not a 'blog' as such. It is a Publishing site. For you to 'publish' something you will need to 'start a new hub' and write something on a topic, maybe your books and then 'publish' your hub.
Google will then index your Hub and hopefully people searching on their Google search engine will find your Hub and pay you a visit. You should also 'share' your Hubs with other sites like Twitter and Facebook. This will attract more visitors :-)

So now I have been with hubpages nine months. My collection of hubs has risen from 30 with squidoo to well over 50. All of my articles are up to hub standard and new hubs I always use hub guidelines. Upon conversion my 30 hubs earned 23 cents a day, now my 55 hubs earn me 6 or 8 cents a day. I know...

I wrote a little hub about Ganymede, the seventh moon of Jupiter, just lately. I also included the Greek legend of Ganymede...there is more than a little hint of homosexuality in this legend.I got quite a few emails from the Christian contingent, though no direct comments on the hub...

You all must have read that hub regarding hubs with exclusive titles. I am not able to understand the "exclusive" icon and where does it appear? I am searching it in my account page. Want to listen in from fellow hubbers?

Does anyone here use unorthodox traffic-getting methods? I'm not takling black-hat methods or anything illegal here, just unusual non-mainstream methods. Techniques perhaps, that would make the rest of us say "Why didn't I think of that"?
