My network dongle keep on disconnecting the network signal. Why?
I have a HSDPA USB modem(Huawei E220). It was working perfectly but nowadays it drops the signal for each 5 min. But I checked with the network.I use the same network SIM for my mobile as well. It doesn't have any problem in mobile. I'm wondering what it could be the problem. Is this USB model often gives trouble like this?
Often other house hold items can affect signal strength or a wireless device.
have you have a new cordless phone installed? Even a new microwave can cause problems.
It may also be a problem with the USB port on your laptop, try another port maybe.
If none of that works, it may be worth changing the channel on which your router works with. This is a little more complicated, so try the above before this.
Best of luck!
Another more remote possibility is that the laptop is running on battery and the power savings scheme is turing the power off on the USB port..
