Nah I haven't really given wordpress a chance, I'd like to know what others say about it though.

Yes, my sites are on WordPress, and it's the only platform I will use on them. That said, I use, not The difference is that the former is self-hosted and I can do anything with them, they are my sites, and the latter is still owned by WordPress. I do not know of any platform available that is more flexible and more search-friendly than There is a bit of a learning curve, but I figured out early that you can do a search for just about anything you want to do followed by "wordpress" and it'll take you straight to the right plug-in for it.

I tried Wordpress for my blogs and it drove me nuts ! You need a degree in rocket science just to change the font ! So I went back to using blogger, it's free and you can still use your own domain name with it.
The advantage with Wordpress is that you can sell your blog and all its content to someone else if you feel like it.
Most bloggers use Wordpress of course and they generally say it's great - so maybe it's just me, but blogger has the advantage of being free.

I have used bot and and I can recommend both of them. They offer a really flexible approach to web design and content management.

Wordpress is far more flexible than blogger. But it's true you need some practice on it. Once you got the feeling, you will never leave it. If you are serious about blogging, it is a must in my opinion.

If you're looking for more robust and flexible site, then I will recommend you Joomla. But it is slightly difficult than Wordpress.
