If I type a comment on a friend's comment on MY page, does my comment show up on his page as well?

No, it doesn't appear on his wall. But he will get a notification (visible only to him) letting him know that you've commented on his comment.

When you read a friend's hub and leave comments, do you read the comments other Hubbers have left?I have noticed that some comments add to or put a hub in a different light, but what I have noticed too is that many commentators just concentrate on the hub. I was wondering why it happens like that?...

Every time I try to post a comment, the page flips up to the top and, when I scroll back down, the comment is still there, unposted. I've cleaned my cache, tried a different browser but no luck.

If I view my account's Comments page, it's easy to view, approve and respond to unapproved comments. However, if I go to a new comment in one of my hubs and click Approve, I cannot reply to it directly on the comment. Instead, I have to go to my main Comments page and find the now approved comment...
