Trying to add adsense to my WordPress sites, but struggling, anybody know any good online advice?

I have 2 domains, hosting themes, adsense account, but I am struggling with adding the adsense ads to my WordPress websites.  I have basic html knowledge but that's it.  Does anyone know of a good free online guide?  Hubs or otherwise?  I have looked around but with limited success, so far!  Or is it just a case of me posting the ads in different places and hoping for the best?

Paul that is something i struggled with myself until I bought the theme i recently did a review on here at Hubpages. i highly recommend you check it out and save the headaches a limited coding knowledge causes. You can easily find it in my profile. The theme will allow you to choose between 23 ad spots and comes with full user manual and forum support. My adsense earnings are steadily rising as a result.

I went into the Wordpress template and added the adsense code right inside the sidebar.php for my template. It works perfectly.

I use the Wordpress plugin called Quick Adsense.  Its simple to use and takes care of everything for you.  All you have to do is create your ad unit then copy and paste the code into quick adsense.

It also allows you to choose the location of the ads.
