When getting tossed into a new job suddenly, how can you quickly adjust to it?
In my experience, I've always learned best by just diving right in. Learn through repetition.
And always be open to learning something new. Most companies have a clear line of promotions that can betracked. It never hurts to start learning your next step up in the chain early. That way, when you get there, you are already familar with most of the responsibilities.
Stay late, don't be afraid to ask questions, even if you think they may be stupid ones, people would prefer you to ask a stupid question than to make a stupid mistake. That's the way I look at it.

How long does it take you to adjust to major changes in your life. For example, unemployment, a child moving out, a child getting married, relocation, starting a new job, etc.I'm learning it takes me about 4 weeks...
