Embed widgets to your website, invite all your friends from your emails, create an email signature block, use Facebook applications, add Facebook comment feature and many more methods are there to increase Facebook fan page likes.

Hi, I have two Facebook fan-pages. One of them is taking a life of its own and growing every week. I followed two of the many pieces of advice found at Social Media Insider.
1- I got the app Fan of the Week. People seem to like being picked by that app and they participate and "like" the page more because of it.
2- I let them "show and tell" with my products on my Facebook fan-page.

If you sell a product that is tangible, let's for the sake of an example, electronics, ask your fans to take a picture of themselves with the product that they bought from you and posted on your fan page. Do the same on your blog and dedicate a whole Pinterest Board to fans. You will not believe how many people want to be featured!

As I said, I got those ideas from Social Media Insider and they have worked for me, together with elbow grease, good posts, great products and God's blessing.

I would say a few thing on this:

    1. Ensure you know who your target audience is, what they WANT and WHERE to find them.
    2. Add real VALUE to your page by providing what your audience WANTS or will APPRECIATE, e.g. a free giveaway that doesn't cost you much but adds real value to them - like an eBook a Tipster video, access to a free and very useful resource that they don't know about. Get the content right and the next part becomes super easy. You don't always need to create this yourself, there are plenty of resources out there that you can use.
    3. Promote your page to the place where your audience "LIVES" - they may be in forums, discussion groups, your email list, at events and of course on facebook itself - you can run ad campaigns that target your 'friends' and connections and their friends (so its like they are recommending you)

At the end of the day you need to add value first as without that you will have a one time Like and visit and then nothing. Whats the point of having a Like if they don't keep coming back?
