LED - Light emission Diode and
LCD - Liquid Crystal Display
I made a hub on this question

The difference between LED and LCD displays is the type of back light used to illuminate the display.
LED displays use light emitting diodes to light the display. LCD displays use a flourescent CFL light. Both types of displays still use LCD technologies for the pixels themselves.
LED displays allow the depth of the display to be much less than typical LCD displays.
It's all about display. LED's are much more better, but they are expensive when compared to LCD's.
