Is it possible to learn HTML and CSS online?

I have my blog hosted on Blogger. I often need to play with HTML and CSS for customizing the template of my blog. But all the customization I do by trial and error method. This method is so much time and energy consuming, then also I can't do everything perfect. So I want to learn HTML and CSS languages. Is it possible to learn HTML and CSS online? If yes! then which is the best website to learn HTML and CSS?

http://www.w3schools.com is the best website to start with.. After that you could try out http://css-tricks.com for cool advanced CSS stuffs.

Honestly. If you want to really learn, you should buy a book. People put up a lot of stuff on internet just to attract visitors. I like to use internet for finding problem resolution from forums and finding reference information. For solid knowledge building, I always purchase a book and read on table computer on my way to commute work.

Yes. I learnt all my web programming Knowledge from online resources. You can begin at W3Schools but that will only give you a head start. You will need more resources that are freely available in all corners of the Internet for you to be grounded in the 2 web technologies. I recommend Lynda tutorials.
