I think you save time on the internet the more you use it and get accustomed to where things are.  You learn to copy and paste things instead of typing them out, learn to type faster, have multiple tabs open, etc.

The biggest thing that saves time, I think, it learning how to type fast.  People that type slow take forever to get things done.

The more time you spend, you'll also learn certain things that you should read or just close, such as warning windows.  People that don't see them often will read every single one instead of just closing them becasue they're not that important.

Ultimately, the more time you spend and the more you do, the faster you will become at doing it.

How puzzling.  This is all totally voluntary, discretionary.  If it seems a waste of time, - just don't do it!  Or direct your attention to areas where your participation is not required much.  There is NOTHING compulsory about it!  You get to decide how much or how little to put into it, time-wise and else-wise. Of course, like anything else, efficiency speeds up what you get done here in a given time.  Is that your objective?  Efficiently speeding along?  Perhaps we need to decide what we want out of it - and what we are willing to invest in it to have that.  Interesting.
