Why is Google not crawling articles as frequently as in the past?

Updated content and new articles used to be indexed quickly.  Currently, a slowdown has occurred in this procedure.

Actually when you submit a site to Google to be crawled it should be the main page of your website, example on hubpages your profile URL mine is
    http://manthy.hubpages.com/
if you are submitting each individual hub then they can blacklist you for spamming them.Usually the google robots come back every month and get your new content.
I recommend submitting your homepage once a year and that should be fine.
Thanks for the question, I hope this answer helps.

Thanks for answer. i submitted one hub. People on this site say some hubs are not getting indexed for up to a month, so some submit or ping Google.

Yeah that is standard for it to take a month, think of how many people are submitting websites everyday.
