Do you feel the internet actually has a positive effect on your wellbeing and standard of living?

Yes.  It makes life easier.  On a negative front, it makes us lazier but I interpret well-being to an easier way of life.

I agree, I cannot necessarily figure out whether the internet really aids my standard of living. However, it opens up possibilities that would otherwise be unavailable and makes my work and social life much easier and more efficient.

Well, based on standard of living yes. Through the internet you can get so many things so much cheaper and I have usually no rush to get something. So it really works well for me and I save a lot of money. My wellbeing, not really sure about that, don't think so.

Yes, not only does the internet make many things easier (research, communication), but I use it to release my creative side, like writing for hubpages.  I guess anything in life has a good side and bad side.  It is up to the individual to use them properly.

On my wellbeing, yes. Sandard of living, no. The internet helps my wellbeing because this is the main method of conversing with friends. I don't see friends, I don't go to public places as much as I can help it. 80% of my friends are on Facebook and that is just how I keep it because they are in different countries, at different colleges, etc. My standard of living is based off the world around me, not what I see on the computer.
