What are the benefits to using the "read more" link in a blog post?
When writing a long blog post, what are the benefits of breaking it up and using the "read more" link? I understand it makes the main blog page easier to navigate, but are there any other benefits to using it?
As a blogger it could give you an idea if your content is well received. If you have a large percentage of people who click the 'read more' link it could be seen as a showcase that people like what has already been put and want more knowledge or answers
On the other hand you could use it for double the potential advertising revenues as effectively the viewer has viewer 2 pages on your blog instead of one.
The blogger can use the home page for displaying more blog posts so that the readers have the options to read articles of their choice. in the displayed portion the bloggers can create summary about the articles..
Well, Read more link helps your article look short.
Benefits,
As it is short, it will help readers to look into the other article in the list rather than scrolling hard to reach more articles.
If you have read more link in the article, you will get more revenue, yes, when people click read more button to view a full article. It will redirect to another page with ads.As the reader want to read more articles, then more pages will form, more impressions create and simultaneously more Revenue.
Hope this helps.

I started using this blogging link to send my own hubs out of the hub nest. Soon, as I was going to make comments for my friends list I ended up reading other good hubs and decided to share theirs on my blogs too. Then the blog idea started evolving to help promote more reads and...

Hi I spent an hour researching online but no one seems to have the answer. On other sites I've been able to post my articles via URL on my Facebook FAN page with the picture, text popping up, but not HUB articles. No problem posting to my FB profile. But with my fan page it comes up with just...
