Help anyone? I cannot place a video on my hub - it just says - The specified URL was not recognised.
Going by the guide on the Video capsule in the Hub editor, the only video hosting websites that HubPages currently supports embedding from are:
Youtube, Vimeo, Blip.tv, Yahoo! Screen (video) and Metacafe...
Interesting, if I try to embed a video from Metacafe, it doesn't work. It just says "The specified URL was not recognized" copied the entire web address directly from my web browser.
All the other services listed above are a simple copy and paste of the video's web address.
Hopefully someone here knows a workaround? The only thing I can think of is to just link to it with a text or link capsule. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
First make sure you are doing this using the Video module. Then make sure that you are using a video from BlipTV, Metacafe, Revver, Vimeo, Yahoo! Videos, or YouTube. If it is coming from one of these, then make sure you are either using the video URL or embed code provided by the site's share function. If you try to copy the URL from the address field of the browser, you may be picking up other parameters that Hubpages doesn't recognize. Also try the embed code if the URL doesn't work.
Rather than copying the URL in the adress bar try right clicking with your mouse on the actual video and select 'Copy embed code' and then paste that into the video capsule, that should work just dandy.

Earlier on today I saw that Hubpages bot let a message for one of my Hubs saying that the URL is not working. The URL is a youtube video and when I went to my hub it was working, so I could not figure out why it apparently was not working.

Hey everybody, when signing up for AdSense, they say they need a URL of your site so they know where to put the ads. However, it seems they are just looking for a basic domain name. How do I find that with the hubpages? AdSense says you can't have URL's like Hubpages.com/youraccount name . There...

HiIs it possible to change the URL of a published hub? I published hub a long ago but it's not getting good traffic and so I just edited the title and content with new keyword and re-published. But the URL is still same, there's no change which is good for SEO. Please share your opinion. Thanks
