IWatch or Apple Watch - Dead on Arrival or the next Great Thing To Have?

Forbes and other are saying that this will never take on. This is the first rollout after Steve Jobs passing. Do you think this is a GREAT MISTAKE by Apple or the NEXT LEAP FORWARD? Other inventions that were dismissed at the start gate: Bicycles, Automobiles, Liquid nail polish, Talking Movies, Cheeseburgers, Answering machines, Laptops

It's a novelty item that will sell lot as being the newest toy.
Odds are it will be worth more in 20 years as a collector item.
However long-term I can't imagine millions or billions of people electing to talk to their wrist for long periods of time.
Samsung's "smart watch" (Gear S) came out over a year ago and it didn't exactly set the world on fire.
I'm sure Apple will out perform Samsung but the iWatch is not going to cause that many folks to toss out their iPhones. smile

I was thinking this is the beginning of the end for Apple since this will be the first flop now the Steve Jobs is gone.
