I'm looking into starting up with YouTube and could use some advice and help if anybody wants to jump in.  The editing is killing me! Am using Windows 10 editor and also the one You Tube provides, but am having problems with both.  Windows 10 has one that will produce a video for you if you give them the images, etc, but I can't get that part of it to show up on my computer.  Anybody?

Thanks for sending this, but I don't see anything there related to the tech questions I have.  Maybe I typed it in wrong?

If you don't mind, I'd like to ask why you want to mess with YouTube. It's a lot of work for minimal revenue.

You have to love producing labor-intensive videos to make it worth your while.

I did a quick search for you and came up with Avidemux - http://avidemux.sourceforge.net/
Avidemux is a basic video editor for YouTube, which is perfect for beginners. It comes with essential functions, including encoding, filtering, and cutting. It works on all three platforms, including Mac, Linux, and Microsoft.
Since it is a simple software, use it only to fine-tune your video editing skills. Then, upgrade to a better product like Machete Video Editor Litehttp://www.machetesoft.com/home/about-machete-video-editor-lite.html

Thank you so much.  The editing has been a nightmare for me.  Would love to find an editor I could try that allows me to put text on my videos.  I don't know how to use a mike yet!

I've been playing around with that site you sent me, and I think it's going to work for me.  So relieved.  Thanks so much!
