Anybody have a Valet key for a chapman hood lock security device? One is on my 89 Wrangler that I just bought and I secured the lock without knowing what it was. oooops
Call a local repair shop (or a car thief) and ask if they can help you. I had a security device on my ignition which eventually caused problems (like making the car die in traffic). Our repair guy sad the things were useless and sometimes caused problems like that-- and that any dedicated and knowledgeable thief would know how to disable them anyway.
Have you Googled it? I'm sure it's been asked before by someone.
oh yeah. this device is a POS and the company that made them went out ten years ago. Anyway, the key seemed unobtainable so I drilled the front out and dismantled it the American way(power tools).

Are cars with push-button start/ignition easier to steal?I was recently considering leasing a Mitsubishi Lancer with push-button start. Haven't made a decision yet (or visited the dealer) but it seems to me that the push-button start makes these vehicles easier to steal. Any thoughts?
