I had a hub that was the #3 spot and without knowing I tweeted it to much now it is on like page 7 listed under username/twitter. Will google crawl this back up. I never imagined that would happen. I have stopped tweeting more than one time now. Thanks for any input or help.

Twitter links are nofollow and search engines ignore that. Besides there is lot of spam on twitter already so SE's are ignoring the links. Excessive twitter or facebook promotion has nothing to do with your site's position. Think about it, if such over-promotion can kill the #1 spot on google then you can link bomb competitors to get them off the spot.

I don't think that tweeting about a hub too much can cause this. If this would have been possible, people can just beat their competition by just tweeting about them all the day.

Ok thanks it only seems to be one hub I'll give it a few days to recover yesterday it was #3 and has been for a few weeks. Today its on page 13 and listed with my twitter name. I checked other hubs and they are ok, so something happened I'm not going to worry about it. water under the bridge maybe it will bounce back.

It is rather weird that the title only shows in search under my twitter username and not the title itself at least today.

Google gives new content a brief bump but after that it will fall back down in the rankings, I believe.

After that it can take a little while for google to place it in the optimum spot.

    UPDATE 11:05am EST
well I just returned home and googled the hub key words I was referring to

Seems as tho the HUB bounced back to #7 on the first page I have no idea what happened and at this point I am just happy twitter didn't attach it self to my title (by my own tweets)

Thanks for the confidence that I hadn't messed up a good hub by excessive twittering !!!

Tweet is taking a rest with this hubber

I don't like people looking at my 'twitties' too much.  I never heard of a tweet doing that though.  Fascinating.

Just out of curiosity, why tweet it so much? Does it help to repetitively tweet something?

I also faced same kind of problem my hub "How Hard Disk Read and Write Head Works" stands on #8 on hard disk read write head search term when I tried to promote on FB after 3-4 days it ranks on #16.

But one thing is sure that google gives rank to no-follow links also.

This has never happened to me but I try really hard not to send out duplicate tweets.  Do you write duplicate tweets?  I usually try to change the wording around but sometimes I tweet some of my articles about 3 times per day.

Thanks for telling me about this though

Hi Entourage alls I can say is if you tweet one hub a lot Google it and if it comes up under username/twitter your title is no longer indexed it is indexed under twitter. This is what happened to me I haven't had the problem since I started this post/\ with moderate tweeting of one hub in fact I dont tweet them more nearly as much I was new to tweeter and some hubs more or less spammed themselves on automation I have adjusted this process of tweeting follow me I follow you
