To be honest I liked the simpler layout better. The toolbar on the left seems a little unnecessary, at least for me. I do like the new automatic fill-in they have though, but I think they've had that for a while now.
Niner, are you seeing the map moved to the right and the results that used to be associated with the map merged with the organic results?
Example:
http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=& … p;ie=UTF-8
The map thingy looks good, but I have to agree about the stuff on the right being a bit messy.
Quite alot of the prime real estate on the page is taken up by ads isn't it? It's stating the obvious but I find it distracting and certainly compromises search result service they offer.
Here is Google's description of what is going on:
http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2010/10/ … -find.html
I am now seeing pages that are populated with 100% data from Google maps/places. Absolutely zero organic results as we knew them.

There have been several theories about what content Google is penalising and rewarding in the search results but at the moment it does seem a bit random (from my end). Let's compare notes and hopefully we can see some common threads in there. What content of yours is holding on to its ranking and...

HubPages is under attack. HubPages content did not get hit by a Google slap and views did not tank due to Google algorithm changes; it is the victim of negative SEO.To see the nature of the attack:*Go to a Google search engine on a computer with no cookies saved on it.*Enter a random username and...

Bing or Google? Which search engine do you prefer?I see the commercial on television about how people are choosing Bing over Google as a search engine. I did the "Bing it on" test and my results came out as a draw. What is your experience? Do you prefer Bing or Google?
