I've always had websites that took the smaller links or header type of adsense ads. My newest site is the first one that has a perfect 300x250 ad spot in the sidebar.
I have it as both image and text. I am amazed at how many images show up in that block! They are really good to, blending into your site and moving around like videos.
However it also could be the subject, which is electronics. Do they make more image ads for electronics because it's a popular subject?
I'm just really surprised at how many image ads show up, like 8 out of 10 times more than text. Not sure if that is good for clicks or not, but you get paid impressions with images ads too.
well try it all. i know people have things they think work best.
