How to Print Only Certain Specific Information You Want From Web Page on Internet Explorer 7

Updated on January 15, 2011

Introduction - Printing Only The Information You Want from Web Page

Have you ever only wanted to print a small amount of information from a Web Page but find yourself forced to print out the entire web page? If you only need to print part of a web page, printing an entire web page is a waste of ink and paper.

On Internet Explorer, there is a way to print only a section of a web page that you want.

Step 1

Open Internet Explorer 7 and find the web page that contains the information you want to print.

Step 2

Look to the top of Internet Explorer and select File.

Step 3

In the drop down box that appears on your computer monitor select Print Preview.

Step 4

Now look at two places along your document / web page preview. Look at the top and also look at the left side of the website shown in the preview.  Do you notice the two small vertical lines with the arrows at the top?  Do you notice the two small horizontal lines with arrows to the left?

If yes, go to step 5.  If yes, keep looking :-) C'mon, you can do it !

Step 5

Click on one of t the arrows on the left and then try dragging it up and down.  Do the same for the arrows at the top (except you would drag them left or right).

Notice how it the movement can cut or expand the amount of info?   Notice also how you can also reposition the info?

Step 6

Once you get your info cut or  expanded and positioned, you can go ahead and print by choosing the print icon at the top left or by choosing Alt + P on your computer keyboard.

I hope that helps you to print on the information you want on a web page.
