Best Gaming Mouse 2016

Updated on February 9, 2016

We picked the mice we reviewed in best gaming mouse 2016 based both on their good critical reviews and positive user feedback. The mice reviewed here have different strengths and weaknesses, but you should be able to find something that fills your needs and your pocket.

What makes a gaming mouse different from a normal mouse is that it needs to quickly and precisely relay your input to your computer, it has to be customizable to your preferences and it needs to look and feel good.

Razer Naga a very cool looking mouse

Razer Naga

This is our number one pick as: best mouse for gaming 2016.

In the past, I have tried a number of mice. Many of them were uncomfortable, difficult to use, and generally not to my needs. However, the Razer Naga changed all of that. The first time I used it, I was impressed.

The Naga offers four unique features that I particularly enjoy. First and foremost, it looks and feels great. The sides are of a glossy texture with rubber on top. The feel is natural and soft in my hand.

Second, the 12-button keypad is both functional and well-designed. When I click the buttons, I know they are being clicked.

Third, the mouse has blue lights that are attractive and sleek.

Fourth, the compact design is perfect for my desk. The Naga is so small that its operations are smoother than any other mouse I’ve used in the past. This is a great tool.

Razer Deathadder

Razer Deathadder 3500 High Precision

Where the Naga is complex and powerful, the Deathadder is simple precise and cheap.

This mouse really is great value for money. The left/right clicks on the mouse are perfect, just sensitive enough. When I rest my hand on the mouse, it is comfortable. Also, the Deathadder moves with only slight pressure. That is ideal for when I’m gaming online. The cord is much better than what I have seen in the past as well. The software that comes with the mouse allows you to adjust the speed of the pointer. This is so much more advanced than mice from years ago.

Overall, I could not be more pleased with the Deathadder. This device provides comfort, control, and precision, which are all the features a mouse should have.

Razer Vespula

It is not worth having a good mouse and then using it on a cheap mouse pad.

The Razer Vespula is a plastic mouse pad. I was hesitant at first, but when I received it, I could not have been more pleased. The pad is so thin that it does not interfere with my gaming. This pad is quiet, and it remains firmly in-place on my desk. A speed side and control side both are offered on the Vespula. This helps me with gaming, as I prefer the speed side for easier movement. This is a premium mouse pad with all of the best features. No longer am I forced to accept oil from my skin also rubbing onto the mouse pad. I really enjoy the Vespula and am happy with my purchase.

    Logitech G9X Laser Mouse
Logitech G9X Laser Mouse

Logitech G9X Laser Mouse

This is the mouse we recommend for people who both game and do work with their mouse.

The G9X is everything it says it is and more. Computer enthusiasts who are tired of inadequate mice will be more than pleased with this tool.

The first standout features with the G9X are the interchangeable grips. Users can opt for supreme comfort or great fingertip control. This is particularly beneficial when switching between computer tasks. Many users alternate between professional work and game play, so they use both grips.

The on-board memory is the next feature of note. Users can save as many as five profiles, each with a different LED color so they are distinguished between each other. This means if the mouse is used on a different computer, the profile is automatically loaded without using software.

The G9X is as high-tech as it is functional. This is a great mouse for all users.

Logitech G500 Gaming Mouse

Some gamers find the shape of the G500 to be ideal. Your palm rests very comfortably on it.

All buttons are right at your fingertips, including the scroll wheel that pushes right or left. The hyper scrolling is ideal for web surfing. The shape of the G500 is perfect, with textured sides and nice contouring. The ring finger is provided a nice place to rest, and the palm grip is strong and natural-feeling. Free mode and click mode can be used interchangeably, depending upon what I am doing at that given time.

The performance of the G500 is second to none. Users also have greater control over the mouse, which provides greater gaming capabilities. A really nice mouse for the price.

Handstands Zero Gamers Mat

I genuinely was not aware of the difference a high-quality surface would make on my keypad. This was before I bought the Handstand. I could never again use a mid-grade mouse pad.

In terms of size, the Handstand is approximately twice the size of a traditional pad. This is beneficial, though, so that I do not have to keep my mouse in the corner of my desk. Now, I can use it in a number of spots. Also, I can now move the cursor with greater precision. The Handstand also helps me to work more quickly, as the mouse glides with greater smoothness. I would recommend this pad to anyone.

The RAT9 is the wireless model of the RAT7; I've personally always found wired much more repsonsive but eh.

They're both great and as for pricing~

      (From Newegg)

      R.A.T.7- 80.00 USD

      R.A.T.9- 130.00 USD

There's also the R.A.T. 3 & 5 for thos of you who want less features for less money.
