Top 10 places in India you must visit

This is the eve of India's Independence day.I am feeling proud to write about 10 best places in India to visit.India which comes in south asia, seventh largest city in the world with over 1.2 billion population.But what makes it different is unity in diversity.At every 5 km in India you can see different culture,food,music,songs.Its full of life in short.

This country has a great history and it attracts travelers all around the world specially those who are interested in spiritual and cultural history.Your trip to India will be surely a memorable experience.I will describe my favourite 10 destination you must visit in India.

1. Agra

If you are on visit to India, this is a place you should not miss.There are various places in Agra to visit but the most beautiful is Tajmahal (A UNESCO world heritage).It was built by Shahjahan in love of his third wife Mumtaj begam.It is a sign of love.This structure was built completely by white marble and inside it contains tomb of Shahjahan and his wife.It has a amazing garden near tajmahal which is also must watch.

Other places in Agra includes Akba 's tomb which is13 km from Agra and it is completely made up of red stone and it is also a masterpiece.

2. Shimla

Situated at north-east Himalayas, Shimla is also known as Queen of hills.It is surrounded by thick forest and has exotic location.

The Mall is central point of Shimla where you can find markets,clubs,restaurant,bars, and tourist offices.It is main part of city where people meets, shops and buy food.The best place here is trishul bakery which is known for pastriesAlso don;t forget to visit christ church, the second oldest church in northern India. at a height of 8000ft, it gives a beautiful view of the city.you can see snow covered tree and hills from here.

2km from Shimla there is a place called jakhu hills,which is highest pointer here, you can find many monkeys to fed here.

3. Goa

If you like partying,dance,clubs,beaches,water sport,and boats this is the place you don't want to miss.Goa is smallest city of India and better known as tropical paradise.If you are a fan of beers and wines, you will get it all cheaper as there is no tax of these here.

There is also a Goa carnival organized every year for 3 days in February where you can have dance,music,lights and mouth watering food.

4. Mumbai

Mumbai is also known as city of dreams.An economic capital and film city of India.you can find every color and culture here.Tall story building a biggest slums both present here.This city is most costlist in India has has a beautiful marine drive , which in night looks like a necklace.Gateway of India,hotel Taj is must watch here.And yes local trains are also famous here.

5. Auroville

Well I remembered I went here back in 2007, that time there was some construction going on, but now it is fully ready.It is an amazing place which consist of people from all over world community.Here people from all over world comes to find peace and harmony.

The sole purpose of this place is unity.In the center of town you will find a place called 'Matrimandir' ( shown in the picture) its a god sphere surrounded by ramps.Its put there as a sign of Divine's answer to men perfection.This place has a marble room where you can sit quietly.I love its garden.

6. Pondicherry

I went to Pondicherry some 3 years back.The things which I love most is its beaches,beers,and temples.I had seen more people from outside India here.We have a separate french colony here.I love its beaches, many Hindi movies have been shoot here.

Serenity Beach and Promenade Beach, and paradise beach is very famous here.This city has many churches too.A highly recommend place to visit.

7. Kerala Backwater

Kerala is most popular tourist destination in the world.Also better known as God's Own Country.It is situated at lust and tropical Malabar coast.The backwaters and chains of lake is place which should not be missed.You can hire a ferries or even rent a boat house to spend a day.

There will be function every year where a boat race will be organized where hundreds oarsman row the boat and thousands of fans cheers for this moment.If you come to India you don't want to miss this place.

8. Bodhgaya

Bodhgaya is a religious and pilgrimage place situated at easterpart of India near Gaya.Its a famous placw where Gautam Budha is said to obtained enlightenment.

Mahabodhi temple:Budhist people from all over the world visit this place.This place has a tree under which Gautam Budha believed to englightement.This place has a big statue of Budha.Visitor mostly sit under that tree and and pray.I felt so much peace at this place.

9. Kodaikanal

Kodaikanal is beautiful hill station situated at sounthern part of India.you can expect mountain view,beautiful waterfall here.Its has a man made lake which is star shaped and a must watch.You can also rent a bicycle or horse here to roam round the city.It has a 20 acre botanical garden which is a big attractionof the city.

10.Darjeeling

Darjeeling is situated at eastern part of India and is very attractive location for tourists.It is widely famous for tea production and beautiful scenery.It has beautiful valleys,green environment and amazing views.It has beautiful places to take pictures.

If you are adventurous, you can enjoy trekking and river rafting, and also don't miss Darjeeling toy trains.You can roam round a city with the train.
