Mykonos was such a special and unique Greek island to visit. It was a blue and white paradise. The Greek paradise is renowned for it's glorious beaches, It's raging nightlife and of course the beautiful blue and white structures that are iconic to Mykonos! To get to Mykonos from Athens, we went on a 5 hour ferry trip, which I actually really enjoyed! Getting on and off the ferry was quite chaotic as there was no order to it, but that was all apart of the fun! We traveled on Blue Star Ferries, which were fantastic. Cruising into Mykonos was so exciting! It was a very scenic trip and I enjoyed relaxing and reading my book. There were numerous cruise ships in port witch only added to the beauty of the island! We hired a car for the duration of our stay which was definitely a bit crazy! Driving in Mykonos was difficult and scary for the driver, but it was a lot of fun as a passenger!! The roads are steep and only one car could go through at a time, there were definitely some moments I had to hold my breath. My dad always says now "I have driven in Mykonos, so I can drive anywhere!" One of the craziest driving moments was when we came face to face with a huge bus full of tourists! My Grandma who was in the car with us was absolutely panicking!

While in Mykonos we stayed at a beautiful complex that we booked through AirBnB. It is one of the nicest places I have ever stayed! Our little house was perfect for the five of us, it was so beautiful and exactly what I pictured when I thought of Mykonos! I could live there. The house had the perfect amount of space and There were gorgeous bougainvillea flowers surrounding our house and we had a lovely little outdoor area to relax at. I felt like I was living the dream! The complex also had a pool, restaurant and a little private beach which was lovely. There was also lots of cats roaming around which were so cute. But it was so sad seeing all of the cute stray kitties! I wanted to take them all home.

We spent a day visiting a few of the gorgeous beaches that Mykonos is famous for! We only got to three, but I would love to go back someday and explore more. The first beach we visited was called Paradise Beach which definitely lived up to its name! Despite it being very crowded, we still had a great time there. Unfortunately you have to pay for deckchairs at all of the beaches, but we spent all of our time there in the crystal clear water. It was magic! There were clubs set up on the beach and you can definitely imagine the parties that happen there at night time.

Paraga Beach

My personal favourite beach we visited was Paraga beach! It was not as busy as Paradise Beach and it was a bit more relaxing. It was absolute bliss! The water was such a magical shade of blue and we had an amazing swim there! There is a cafe on the beach which is a great spot to have a nice cold drink while admiring the view.

Platis Gialos

The third beach we visited was Platis Gialos! There were restaurants along the water and the area was bustling! There was lots of music playing and it was an amazing atmosphere. Like the other beaches, the water was magnificent, such a stunning shade of blue, I most definitely could have stayed there all day. We had lunch at 'Yialo Yialo' which was along the beach and had amazing views of the ocean. After our wonderful day spent at the beach, I enjoyed the wild drive back to our accomodation! We then spent the afternoon relaxing at our complex.

Little Venice Town is a fantastic place to visit while in Mykonos! The town is exactly what I envisioned when I thought of the Greek Islands. Beautiful blue and white buildings, ocean views and cobblestone paths and bougainvillaea flowers everywhere you looked. There were so many beautiful photo opportunities there. The winding, narrow cobblestone streets lead to quaint shops that sold beautiful things (unfortunately they were very expensive!) and lots of cafe's selling Greek delicacies and cold drinks, which I guarantee you will need as the island is extremely hot in Summer! I felt like I was in a movie, it was an insanely beautiful place to visit,

I absolutely adored visiting the Greek Island, Mykonos, and I can not wait to go back one day! The island oozes charm, beauty and all things Greek! Which is why everyone loves it.
