For Some Excellent Family Entertainment In Las Vegas...

The Donny And Marie Show at the Flamingo Hotel Showroom in Las Vegas is a must see for anyone who is looking for a night of magnificent AND wholesome family entertainment. All ages will love the Donny And Marie show, featuring stellar dancers, excellent special effects, and of course, the amazing singing and dancing talent of Donny and Marie Osmond!

If your night is anything like ours was, there will be many 50 something (and over) Grannies in the audience yelling for Donny as if they were 14 years old again! At least, that's what happened in the row I was sitting in! Craziness, pure craziness. I mean, c'mon, once you're in your 50's and a Grandma, aren't you supposed to be OVER the pop star craze and screaming for Donny Osmond? I mean... really.

I mean, yes, he is still FANTASTIC looking, he honestly does NOT look like a 50 something year old guy, and Marie certainly doesn't look her age either. They must be blessed with great genetics, as well as working very hard at keeping in absolutely outstanding shape by dancing for 1 1/2 hours five nights a week. In addition, both of their appearances on "Dancing With The Stars" certainly kept them looking wonderful and kept them in great shape.

In spite of the fact that Donny fell to the stage floor a time or two and was mouthing the words "I'm TIRED!" It was absolutely fantastic! He does have a wonderful sense of humor. They both have a terrific repoire with one another, as well as a "chemistry" that cannot be matched anywhere else that I can think of . This is a show that is an absolute "must see" for families on a visit to Las Vegas. The show goes through October 2012, and after that, who knows.. it was extended once already, so maybe it will be extended again. In any case, it is definitely worth seeing.

Brother And Sister Rivalry Blended With Pure Talent!

These two are amazingly accomplished singers and dancers. This show features that brother sister "rivalry" done in a humorous way, in the jokes they tell as well as the stunningly beautiful harmony in their singing that only happens when people are family related. Absolutely amazing, I would even go back again to see this show and I don't say that about too many Las Vegas shows. The only other show I've said that about was "The Beatles Love" Cirque de Soleil show at the Mirage hotel here in Las Vegas!

The sibling rivalry is very funny as they tease each other throughout the show. With Donny having won on Dancing With The Stars and Marie went to the finals... they both did a great job on the show... but there's just something in a brother sister relationship that provokes teasing when one does just a little better than the other one did at accomplishing something. Don't worry though, Marie gets her share of "zingers" in on Donny as well!

A truly hilarious part of the show is when they show pictures of a very young Donny right next to a picture of Justin Bieber (and anyone who has been reading my hubs for a while knows that I wrote one recently about how Justin Bieber reminds me of me teenage crush ~ Donny Osmond.) SO, they show this picture of the two of them side by side and Donny very humorously points out that he did, indeed, have the "Justin Bieber" haircut before Justin did. SO funny! A lady in the audience said loudly "YES, you did!" And everyone cracked up laughing.

They show clips of old television appearances from when both Donny and Marie and all the Osmond's were very young... it was so nostalgic and sentimental to relive those times through film. I had almost forgotten about the days in the 1970's when Donny was into rhinestone jumpsuits, his channeling "Elvis" years... and he looked adorable in them!

It was wonderful to see those old photos, too. Kind of like looking in an attic at the old memories stored there just waiting to be found... very nostalgic. I remember watching all of the Osmond's on television as a child growing up in the 60's and 70's and I actually had forgotten that Marie made her television debut on the Andy Williams show in February of 1964, at the tender age of four... yes, FOUR! She was sooooo adorable! They had a clip of that, too. Andy asked her if she would save a dance for him when she turned 18, and you could hear the "awwwwwww" from the audience! Very sweet!

Donny And Marie Are Veteran Performers ~ And It Shows!

No wonder Donny and Marie put on such a great performance. They have been at this for a LONG time and they are both show business veterans. No matter if it was a television appearance, or a live performance, the Osmond's are always exceptionally professional and from what I've heard, very easy to work with as well.

In one of the nicest segments of the show, Marie and Donny each get to showcase the appearances that they both have made in various Broadway musicals. Marie made appearances in "The Sound Of Music" and also in "The King And I." Donny made appearances in "Beauty And The Beast" and in "Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat." This was such a nostalgic look back to what surely must have been a very fun and exciting time for both Donny and Marie.

Marie mentioned that she is one of the Co-Founders of the Children's Miracle Network, and that it is a top rated charity since all the money it brings in goes directly to the children. That is simply amazing in itself... and she talked about how she held the very first child that ever received a heart transplant... what exceptional memories of some wonderful times and experiences.

These two have, indeed, had long and outstanding careers and have many, many memories that have found homes in their hearts to be cherished forever. Every beautiful facet of their wonderful personalities is showcased in this special show and I wish them all the success in the world in their future endeavors, whatever that future may hold for them.

Thank you Donny and Marie for a very, very special night, and a night that we will never forget.
