Philippine Tours - MetroStar Ferry
MetroStar Ferry is a ferry service operated by the SM Mall of Asia, in Manila, Philippines. SM Mall of Asia is located along Roxas Boulevard and since the ferry's terminal is at the back of the mall, along the Manila Bay, they provide free shuttle service to and from the terminal.
MetroStar Ferry provides ferry service from SM Mall of Asia to Cavite City and vice versa. They also provide an inexpensive tour of the Manila Bay with their Manila Bay Cruise.
Cavite City is one of the popular tourist destinations in the Philippines. It is where Corregidor is located, the famous World War II fort.
Cavite City is about 35 kilometers away from Manila City by land. Travel time is about one and one-half hours or about 90 minutes, assuming you encounter normal traffic. If you are unlucky to be caught in a traffic jam, it could take you as much as three to four hours to reach Cavite City.

Dragon Boat In Manila Bay
A few months back, our family and friends had an outing to one of Cavite's hot spring resorts in the outskirt of Cavite City. The resort was scenic and beautiful and I did really enjoy the weekend vacation. On our way back to Manila, we encountered heavy traffic near and within Cavite City. I was furious of the wasted time in the traffic, and I didn't think I would ever be coming back to Cavite.
But last week, I was invited by a friend to visit their place in Cavite City because he wanted to me to see his newly acquired house. I told him of my bad experience with the traffic and he told to take the ferry to Cavite City, which I did.
MetroStar Ferry makes travel to Cavite City really fast: 40 minutes, no more no less. The ferry leaves the terminal on scheduled time and it arrives at its destination also in exactly forty minutes. I took the ferry at its terminal in SM Mall of Asia and it departed at 11:00 AM. We reached the MetroStar Ferry terminal in Cavite City at 11:40 AM, sharp.
After my visit, I took the ferry again on my trip back to Manila. The ferry left at exactly 5:00 PM, its scheduled time, and we reach the Manila terminal at 5:45 PM.
I'll post some of our pictures aboard the ferry later when I got the time to take it off my video camera.
If you happen to go Manila and are planning to visit Cavite City or any of the tourist spots in the province of Cavite, I highly recommend that you take the MetroStar ferry. Just go to SM Mall of Asia. They provide free shuttle service from the front of SM Mall of Asia to the back of the mall where the terminal is located, and vice versa.
I found the crew to be polite and accommodating and answers any question you have about the ferry.
Note: I don't work for MetroStar Ferry nor was paid to write about it.
