Oh The Weather Outside Is Frightful....

Updated on February 11, 2013

Ground Hog's Day

This Winter just keeps on coming. I'm looking out my window right now and there is some kind of frozen precipitation falling. Not sure if it's freezing rain, sleet, snow and rain, or some mix thereof. Actually I see something bouncing off my snow covered bushes. It must be sleet. (The weather police might have to correct me on that term.)

I love warm blankets, good books, roaring fires and lit candles on days like today. It's not fit for man nor beast outside today. The good news, Punxsutawney (have you ever tried to spell that?) Phil, did NOT see his shadow today. Well honestly, how could he. Half the nation is covered in this massive winter storm. There's no sun to cast a shadow!

Well, I for one, would like to believe that it will be an early Spring. I've had enough of Winter!

Are you ready for Spring?

Although this post was two years ago, it speaks to what almost half of the country is going through right now. We have had 2 snow days in DC in less than a week! And soooooo cold, in the 20s today. Very "timely" hub, voted up.

It's almost 40 degrees outside! Snow and ice are melting off the roof and creating a cascade of water outside my window. What a wonderful sight! Now we just need this weather pattern to hold.

The weather outside is frightful. But, the fire is so delightful!
