Bright in Victoria, Australia is a relatively small town with a population of approximately 2700. It is located right in the the middle of the Great Alpine Valleys, boasting of magnificent seasons of colour and life and popular with visitors and tourists in the spring and autumn.

With so much to do, for such a small town, you will not go home disappointed. The monthly market attracts so many people, mainly because it is a shoppers paradise. You will find many treasures, handmade items, special gifts, leather and wood work, ethical items and so much more. There is a wealth of freshly made or home grown food goods to sample, like the wine and ale, fruit, vegetables, cheeses and meat, but it doesn’t stop there, when your ready for a rest, the local performers are on hand to entertain you and the children with animal balloon making, crafts and face painting.

The list of activities and adventures is endless, a couple of popular choices for the spring and summer months would be, bush walking and hiking, bush camping, fossicking and national parks, to name but a few and you can get ready for the array of snow activities for the winter months too. Whatever you enjoy doing while on holiday, your sure to be kept occupied and busy here in Bright.

The bush walking and hiking in this pretty little town is breath taking, being surrounded by Mount Beauty, Falls Creek and Mount Hotham, the views and scenery are stunning. You can walk for miles and enjoy the peaceful views at your leisure and take in the wonders of nature, pack yourself a picnic but beware, you with such gorgeous scenic views you may well loose track of time.

Bush camping is another pastime which is popular and fun to do with family and friends. With different national parks and forests scattered about, it means there are ample places to set up camp and get the camp fire going ready to tell stories around and toast those marshmallows. A great adventure for outdoor lovers.

 For something really different, why not try your hand at Fossicking? Bright is famous for this and it is an exciting way to try and unearth some gold, rocks, precious stones or maybe even some fossils. This can be a really interesting activity and will be lots of fun, see what you can find.

When visiting Bright, you must taste the delightful fresh food that is produced locally. Take yourself on evening of wineing and dining to Simone’s refined and up market restaurant, which has high quality, Italian comfort cuisine. This restaurant is one of the best in Victoria which you must take the time out to experience.

This up and coming town is becoming increasingly popular by the day, tourists flock from miles around to seek the outdoor adventures and fun that this picturesque haven offers. The explosion of colours, throughout the seasons is radient and striking, so its no wonder Bright is well liked.
