Would you rather retire on a Tropical Island Paradise or a Quaint German Town?
I have to assume that you have some link to Germany prompting this question and your stated desire to retire there. As for myself, the tropical island is the way to go. It just seems far more idyllic than the alternative you have given. Nothing against Germans as I know several but the peace and quiet of the paradise would suit me far more.
The guaranteed warm climate is a deal clincher, something not guaranteed in a "quaint German town".
Enjoy your Oktoberfest and I'll enjoy my sun, sand and all the rest that goes with it...
Much as this native Midwesterner who burns easily loves the idea of year-round warm weather, living permanently in a tropical paradise seems rather one-dimensional. So I'd have to go for the quaint German village, not because I love winter - I don't! - but because there are plenty of beaches and seaside villages within a day's drive of Germany...also museums, libraries, opera, ballet and other cultural delights I'd sorely miss if I were living thousands of miles away on a tropical island. ;D
Tropical island Paradise, please. I am sunshine deprived here in Montana.
Tropical Island Paradise, without a doubt; although if you had posted a picture of a quaint German town next to the island picture, you may have swayed me otherwise
Well in that case, check out my soon-to-be published Hub on said German town, Baden-Baden! I'll put it up today.
Sounds good, if I enjoy it, I will definitely be following you!
It's posted! Let me know after reading: island or Germany?
