Lloret de Mar Nightlife
Lloret de Mar
Anyone who's visited Lloret de Mar on Spain's Costa Brava, will be aware that it's one of the best places to go for nightlife.
For those who haven't been before, here's an idea of what to expect.
It is a very cosmopolitan town, where there is plenty to do for tourists from all over Europe, no matter what their age.
Nightlife in Lloret de Mar
Lloret de Mar nightlife starts with a great dinner.
There are restaurants to suit all tastes, from the typical Spanish tapas bars and restaurants, to a choice of cuisine from all corners of the world.
There are Italian restaurants, Chinese, Indian, Japanese, Dutch, German, some wonderful Argentinian steak houses, and an excellent English restaurant right on the seafront, called the Orient Express. This is a restaurant on the theme of the famous train, with an extensive menu of steaks, chicken, pasta as well as home-made pies and Sunday roasts, and all day English breakfasts.
In Lloret there is also the usual array of burger joints and pizza places, something for every taste.
After dinner, time for a drink! Again you have so many places to choose from, there are Cocktail bars, German beer bars, Heavy rock pubs, Dutch and Belgian bars, Spanish bars and bodegas, and of course English pubs, the best of the bunch being the Queen Vic, a good British pub, with an enormous outside terrace where the little ones can run around, and later the 'big kids' go to watch the football on the Giant cinema-size screen, while the party animals dance the night away on the dancefloor to great music from UK DJs.
After a few drinks, it's time to hit the clubs. The pick of these for British people is Rockefellers, where excellent DJs from the UK play all the music you're used to hearing when you go out to party! All the top tunes, as well as some classic favourites.
There are other clubs with specialist music styles, depending on your taste you will find something to suit you. There are R&B clubs, techno clubs, others where you can hear hip-hop, hard-core; You name it, Lloret has it!
For the mature couples who like to dance to a band, a lot of the hotels have live music and dancing, where you can practice your waltz, tango etc.
This town definitely has something for everyone, so if you haven't tried it yet, it's time you did!
