Mind Body Operating Systems

Our behaviour mirrors how we feel within. The choices that we make reflect how tightly bound we are to our fears.

I have written extensively about the connection between mind and body and how the body is but a metaphor that tells the story of what we feel within.

The mind commands and the body obeys but the commands I refer to are given and received when we are not looking.

Computer Generation

When I started using a computer I was nearly 40 and it was given to me by my brother-in-law who was updating. When I started using a computer I was not in the minority and many people I knew spoke about it the way my grandfather spoke about how the TV would combust if we did not plug it out at night. Technology like anything new frightened him.

More and more people started using computers and I think that you would probably be in the minority nowadays if you didn't.

Computer Mechanic

Computers are like cars. Most people who know how to drive haven't a clue about how the car actually works. Most people who use a computer haven't a clue about how it works either.

Most of us simply trust our mechanics to ensure that our cars are in good working order and in the same way we trust computer technicians to solve problems that arise with our computers.

Monopoly on Knowledge

There is not one central car company in the world that owns all car engines. But when it comes to computers there are two main companies that own the operating system of nearly every computer. They are Microsoft and Apple.

By using a Microsoft or Apple operating system you are saying that it is fine for two companies to own the operating system of your computer and you are also subscribing to the idea that knowledge is not free.

Your choice reflects your convictions or lack of them

I have written extensively about choice and how our choices ultimately reflect who we are and create the reality we experience.

There is no reason in this day and age for anyone to buy an operating system especially from a company that would then seek to monopolise knowledge.

You have a choice and the choice you make creates the world you live in.

" Do I need to do something just because everyone else does it?"

I remember being told when I was very young that just because everyone else agrees doesn't make it right!

Reclaim your freedom

I humbly ask that you watch this 5 minutes video clip by Stephen Fry and ask yourself what you would lose by subscribing to the notion that knowledge is not for sale!

It is your choice. It always has been and always will be and so will your choice not to choose.
